Eid al-Adha is the second of the two Islamic holidays celebrated every year all over the world. Eid al-Adha is celebration in the honour of the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. However, before he could do so, God provided a lamb to be sacrificed instead. An animal is sacrificed on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and divided into three parts. One part is given to the poor, one is kept for one’s home and the third is given to relatives.
Eid ul Adha, is one of the holiest occasions in the Islamic calendar is being celebrated on August 11-12, 2019, in India. This festival of Eid-ul-Adha, also known as Bakra Eid, and is celebrated by millions of Muslims around the globe. On the occassion of Bakra Eid, people gather to celebrate the day with feasts, prayers, exquisite clothing and parades. Annual Hajj pilgrimage is also considered important.
